MUSIC

God has blessed each one of us with different gifts and talents, but it is up to us to develop and use those gifts in His name. The purpose of the Music + Worship Arts Ministry at Collierville UMC is to help anyone explore, develop, and use their talents to lead others in worship. Whether through music, drama, dance, or visual art, there is a place for you.

Chancel Choir
This group leads worship every Sunday at the 11:00am Traditional worship service in the Poplar Sanctuary. They sing a wide range of music including classical, spirituals and gospel, hymns settings, traditional anthems, and contemporary arrangements.

Wednesdays from 6:30pm-8:00pm – Choir Room (Poplar Campus)

Sanctuary Choir
This group leads worship every Sunday at the 8:30am Traditional Worship Service at the Sanctuary on the Square. We sing classic hymns and a variety of choral arrangements.

1st & 3rd Tuesdays from 6:30-7:30pm – Choir Room (Sanctuary on the Square)

Handbells
The Genesis Ringers prepare music to lead in worship about once a month. This group is an advanced group of ringers, using our 5 octave set of Schulmerich Handbells and Malmark Handchimes. No audition is necessary, but a basic understanding of music is very helpful. Childcare is available upon request.
Tuesdays from 6:30-7:30pm – Narthex (Poplar Campus)

Contact our Director of Traditional Worship, Dr. Sarah Harper or our Director of Modern Worship, Dr. Andrew Harper, if you’re interested in any of the groups listed above.
