MOPS-Banner

MOPS is an international outreach ministry formed to nurture Mothers Of Preschoolers (infants to age 6). It is the goal of Collierville United Methodist Church to provide a Christ-centered, caring ministry where friendships, creativity, and personal relationships with other moms and Jesus Christ can develop. MOPS is about... celebrating motherhood!

WHEN WE MEET

We meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month from 9:30 a.m. to noon in Room 102 (with nursery in Rooms 32/34). If you have any questions, please contact CUMC MOPS.

Here at Collierville UMC we believe that the need for community does not end when your MOPS years end.  The addition of MOMsNext allows us to provide just that community for moms with children of all ages.

What is MOMSnext?
MOMSnext is a community of moms with kids past the preschool years. It is a division of MOPS International (Mothers of Preschoolers), but is meant to meet the needs of the mother past preschool years  Unlike MOPS groups where moms are newly in the throes of motherhood, MOMSnext moms are in the rhythm of parenting. However as their children grow, they are encountering new and specific parenting challenges. Despite the overload of information accessible to them, moms do not know where they should turn to get answers. They also have a new ability to lift their heads and see the broader world around them. They are in a phase of personal growth where they may have more freedom to pursue professional or personal interests now that their kids are older.

When do we meet?
We meet all but the first Tuesday morning of every month from 9:30-12pm   As well as we meet every Wednesday night from 6:30-8pm during the school year. We follow the Collierville city schools calendar for closings and holidays.

What is our theme this year?

Starry Eyed is…

Seeing the light in the darkness and choosing to live courageously in both.
It is opening our eyes to wonder and choosing hope over fear.
Starry Eyed is significant acts of kindness that send ripples of light into the world.
It is a choice to live fully and wholly and to breathe our way back to life.
If you feel anxious and don’t know why …
If you are busy and distracted from the things you truly care about …
If you are restless for an unexpected encounter with God …
If you long to feel alive, to regain a sense of wonder, to hope a little freer and to be a powerful force of kindness in the world, then we’d love for you to join us in becoming Starry Eyed.

This year we will run wildly toward wonder, hope and kindness because We Are the Starry Eyed and we choose to see the light.
