    Thursdays starting January 25, 7:30pm – 8:30pm
    Meets off-campus.
Who was Jesus, really? Wasn’t the central figure to the Christian faith a man who denied all preconceived notions about what God should look like? Wouldn’t associating with him have meant joining a rebel movement? Doesn’t it still? Renegade Gospel is a church study that challenges believers to come to terms with the real Jesus—the rebel Jesus.

Jesus’ invitation is an invitation to relationship, and it begins with a simple request: follow me. This class will meet at the Sanctuary on the Square. If you need childcare, please use the main campus childcare.
    Leader: Jeannie Jones

  • “The Most Allusive Book: How the Bible Shaped English and American Literature”

    Wednesdays starting February 7, 6:30pm – 7:30pm (6 weeks)
From Milton and Shakespeare to C. S. Lewis and J. R. R. Tolkien to Faulkner and Hemingway, the writers who have shaped Anglophone literature have been inspired by and have heavily alluded to the Bible.  The Bible stands behind the work of more writers in the English language than any other text in history.  We will explore just how significant the Bible has been for literature in the English language as well as look at specific ways notable authors have woven scripture into the masterpieces that have defined western culture.
