Confirmation Class Creed - 2011  

We believe in one God, the Father Almighty
Maker of Heaven and earth,
Infinite in wisdom, power and love.
God is awesome, caring, and loyal.
God is always there for us,
And God’s love is unconditional.  

We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God and the Son of Man,
Who was born a human, was crucified, died, and was buried,
And on the third day he rose and ascended into Heaven.
Jesus came to earth for us because he loves us.
He is our Savior, the Messiah,
The promise of our deliverance from sin and death,
And he WILL come again.  

We believe in the Holy Spirit.
It is the divine presence in our lives
That guides, strengthens, and comforts us.
We believe in the forgiveness of sins,
And the life everlasting.  

We commit ourselves, individually and as a community,
To the way of Christ.
We believe that our faith is expressed through
Serving others in love and in Jesus’ name.
And we believe that the Church is one of the strongest ways
For us to fully connect to God.
